Information regarding 2024 stationery requirements, including Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is detailed below.

A stationery pack will be provided to students on their first day of school and the cost placed onto their family account.  This allow us to get the most affordable stationary for our students, along with ensuring the correct items are available for use.

If students run out of stationery books during the year, we have purchased additional stationery supplies at back-to-school bulk rates for students to collect from the office. If/when this situation occurs, these additional items will be charged to your family account and you will receive a Hero financial statement notification.

Piwakawaka & Opuke students are asked to please bring a pair of headphones to school. These students can also bring a pencil case with felt pens/colouring pencils if required.

Our bank account number for making full or payment payments (Automatic Payments welcome) of your family account are:

Methven Primary School : 02-0868-0013797-00

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

In 2024, we are once again encouraging Year 5 and 6 students at Methven Primary School to bring their own device for their learning. We see the ability to transition from working at school to home as an important step in our student’s development. It is also optional for Year 4 students to bring their own device in 2024.

As a Microsoft Office 365 school, having a computer that can have the Office suite installed is important, especially OneNote and Microsoft Teams. These are a free download from your child’s MPS Office 365 account, which we can help with at any time.

The computer market is very confusing and is inundated with so many choices. We recommend that you talk to either our school’s ICT company (Cyclone Computers, 0800 686 686) or one of the local retailers who will be able to provide you with guidance on a range of devices that meet our school’s criteria, covering different price brackets.
