Below you will find our school’s home learning recommendations and some home learning options for students wanting some extra home learning opportunities or for students that are not well enough to be at school, but keen to complete some schoolwork.

Following our 2023 Home Learning Survey (thank you to those family members who contributed), our recommendations for 2023 are:

Mahuri (Year 0-2)

Reading

  • 10-15 minutes of daily reading by/with/to student

Literacy Support

  • Letter formation practice

Maths Support

  • Play a dice, card or board game

Piwakawaka (Year 2-4)

Reading

  • 15-20 minutes of daily reading by/with/to student

Spelling

  • Irregular words (lists on Website)

Opuke (Year 4-6)

Reading

  • 20-30 minutes of daily reading by/with/to student
