Information regarding 2024 stationery requirements, including Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is detailed below.
In 2024, stationary will be provided to students via a school bulk purchase order we are putting through to Qizzle. Family accounts will be invoiced for these stationary packs. This will allow us to get the most affordable stationary for our students, along with ensuring the correct items are available for use.
Additional items teams will require are:
Piwakawaka – existing headphones, reading folders and a pencil case with felt pens/colouring pencils
Opuke – existing headphones and a pencil case with felt pens/colouring pencils
For those families wishing to make a payment to their family account, our account details are:

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
In 2024, we are once again encouraging Year 5 and 6 students at Methven Primary School to bring their own device for their learning. We see the ability to transition from working at school to home as an important step in our student’s development. It is also optional for Year 4 students to bring their own device in 2024.
As a Microsoft Office 365 school, having a computer that can have the Office suite installed is important, especially OneNote and Microsoft Teams. These are a free download from your child’s MPS Office 365 account, which we can help with at any time.
The computer market is very confusing and is inundated with so many choices. We recommend that you talk to either our school’s ICT company (Cyclone Computers, 0800 686 686) or one of the local retailers who will be able to provide you with guidance on a range of devices that meet our school’s criteria, covering different price brackets.
